About Gisselle Tosta

Meet Gisselle Tosta, a dedicated educator and math content developer with a profound love for mathematics and a vision for the future. Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, her journey as a teacher began at a young age when she played pretend math classes with her cousins, igniting their curiosity and fascination for the subject.

After moving to California and facing uncertainty, mathematics became Gisselle's solace, providing structure and familiarity during challenging times. She pursued a mathematics major, navigating her path with patience and determination, ultimately falling in love with the subject during her time at California State University of Northridge.

Throughout her academic journey, Gisselle worked as an independent tutor and gained valuable experience in teaching and mentoring students. Her passion for education and mathematics led her to work as an in-class math tutor at Granada Hills High School, where she experienced a profound moment that solidified her passion for teaching.

After completing her mathematics Bachelor, Gisselle pursued her dream of becoming a high school math teacher. She moved to Maui, Hawaii, where she embraced the opportunity to shape young minds as an educator. The schools in Maui provided her with a nurturing environment, offering plenty of space to be creative and explore different curriculum approaches. Collaborating with fellow educators on curriculum development and even building her own curriculums, Gisselle thrived in her role as a math teacher.

Her experience in Maui schools gave her the confidence that she could inspire a love for learning mathematics in any student. The connections she made as a teacher fueled her drive to pursue innovation in the classroom. Gisselle wholeheartedly believes in the power of technology to enhance the learning process, and she is not shy about learning and implementing the latest tech tools to support her students' growth.

Gisselle aspires to combine her expertise in mathematics and AI to create a learning center in the future. Her vision is to establish a safe and nurturing space where students and parents can explore mathematics with a focus on embracing mistakes, fostering creativity, and nurturing a thirst for knowledge. This endeavor is part of her five-year plan, which includes obtaining a master's in AI and gaining more experience in combining education and AI.

Currently, Gisselle finds fulfillment in her role as a math content developer, where she can inspire students and educators through engaging and transformative educational materials. As she continues to pursue her passion and gather experience in both mathematics and AI, she looks forward to creating a learning environment that will revolutionize mathematics education and empower future generations of learners.
